Winter ‘25 Recital

This was our 3rd Winter Show. I started the tradition of doing two shows a year - one in the Winter and one in the Spring. I felt this was important to show growth through the year and to also celebrate the seasons. I have always had a deep connection to holiday music. Like lots of people, holiday music brings warmth, joy, and a sense of coziness during the Winter. Some of my favorite songs that were showcased in this performance were Waltz of the Flowers (Tchaikovsky), Carol of the Bells (Leontovych), Blackbird (The Beatles), and Pure Imagination (Newley and Bricusse). We also had the honor of hearing one of my senior students Caelin, perform his original composition Twelve, arranged for a trio; piano, saxophone, and trumpet.
