“She not only is a great and caring instructor, her background education in using music for therapy can be seen in how she interacts with all her students. She always starts her lessons with discussions of their week and sets a comfort level that lets her students be fully in the moment of learning music. It also means when they go through trying times, I have seen her be there for them.
They started as beginning students remotely during Covid and have grown greatly as musicians. So much so one of them became an assistant for Olivia and would sometimes teach junior students on her own. She is now in college and is in regular contact with Olivia. My younger student, now in high school, started with the most basic skills and has since performed complex pieces in classic and in jazz. Her previous recital she played a Chopin nocturne and her next recital will be an interpretation of a song by jazz great Chet Baker. As she’s gone from “twinkle twinkle level” to this I can attest that Olivia is a great teacher from beginners to intermediate to advanced.”

“Olivia was a great teacher to my 5 year old who was a true beginner to piano. She was able to get him to learn notes on the keyboard and eventually translate that to reading them on the scale, all before age 6! She put on very professional recitals to allow him to showcase his skills to friends and family during a difficult time in all of our lives.”

We are so fortunate to have our girls study piano with Olivia. Our middle daughter was growing bored with lessons until we moved her over to Olivia, who brought piano back to life for her. Our oldest had quit piano for a year but we encouraged her to give Olivia a try and now she is back to playing and is now intensely dedicated to her growth as a pianist. We feel lucky to have met a teacher who is both supportive and challenging to our girls. Olivia is easy to communicate with, and understanding of teens' many commitments, while also continuing to hold them accountable. We cannot recommend Olivia enough.

It was during the beginning of the pandemic that we discovered Olivia. Up until this time my daughter was ready to give up piano entirely due to a succession of instructors that weren’t the right fit. Olivia not only reinstilled a love of the piano for her, but has been a champion by encouraging her to join the symphonic band at her high school.
Our daughter always looks forward to her lessons with Olivia. I cannot recommend her highly enough as she’s truly a gem.

Olivia has been teaching my 12-year-old son piano for four years. He has gained a tremendous amount of musical knowledge in such little time. My husband and I are constantly amazed with the way our son’s skill set is consistently progressing with every lesson. Olivia is patient with our child and extremely relatable. 10/10…. As a music teacher, I have a slightly unusual perspective: I was Olivia’s music teacher when she was in middle school. Years later, when my daughter showed musical spark—but (wisely!) didn’t want lessons with dad—I knew exactly where to send her.
What sets Olivia apart is how she earns buy-in. She builds the relationship first, then picks songs that genuinely light my daughter up, threading technique through music she already loves. At our request, she leads with joy, and the skills follow—steadier rhythm, more confident reading, and a growing musical vocabulary. From a teacher’s eye I see thoughtful pacing, bite-sized goals, and clear communication; from a parent’s heart I see a kid who feels seen, encouraged, and proud of what she can do. Olivia has my professional respect and my family’s gratitude.

Olivia is the kind of piano teacher every parent hopes their child will have—patient, fun, creative, knowledgeable, and most importantly, caring. She cares deeply about her students, and it shows in the way she teaches, plans recitals, and interacts with my children each week.
