Policies

Cancelations, Sickness and Make-Up Lessons

1. Sickness-related cancellations

  • If your child has had a fever or diarrhea in the previous 24 hours, please do not come to the studio and notify the teacher as soon as possible.

  • If your child tests positive for COVID-19, do not bring them to the studio until they have a negative test or have completed the isolation period recommended by public health authorities. Please notify the teacher immediately if your child tests positive.

  • Sickness cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson to be eligible for a make-up.

2. All other cancellations

  • For any reason that is not sickness-related, please cancel at least 48 hours before the lesson time.

3. Rescheduling and make-up lessons

  • Lessons canceled with the required notice (24 hours for sickness, 48 hours for other reasons) may be rescheduled subject to teacher availability.

  • Make-up lessons must be completed within seven days of the missed lesson.

  • There are a limited number of make-up/reschedule slots each week. If we cannot offer a make-up within the seven-day window because of limited availability, the usual lesson fee will apply.

4. Late cancellations and no-shows

  • Cancellations made with less than the required notice (less than 24 hours for sickness, less than 48 hours for other reasons) and no-shows will be charged the full lesson fee and are not guaranteed a make-up.

  • In true emergencies the teacher may make exceptions at their discretion.

5. Teacher cancellations

  • If the teacher must cancel a lesson, the lesson will be made up or refunded.

6. How to cancel or reschedule

  • Contact the teacher by phone, text, or email and include the student’s name, scheduled lesson date/time, and reason for cancellation. The earlier you let us know, the better the chance of finding a make-up slot.

7. Agreement

  • By scheduling lessons you agree to this policy. The teacher will always try to be fair and to accommodate families when possible.
